Hotspots explained

A hotspot is an access point in a public location such as a cafe or hotel where you can connect to the internet at broadband speed using a wireless-enabled laptop or personal digital assistant (PDA).

Hotspots use wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi). They broadcast a standard wireless frequency (up to 300 feet) that connects your equipment to the location's internet connection. It's that simple!

NETSe7en hotspots are identifiable by the distinctive NETSe7en sign, or by starting your laptop or PDA and viewing available wireless networks. For help getting connected, click here.

Reliable Mesh Technology

NETse7en operates highly reliable Mesh Networks. Mesh networks consist of one or more gateways and several notes. The Gateways connect to the internet and send information back and forth to the nodes. The more nodes that "talk" to each other, the more contact points they each use. So they, in a sense, build a web of connections -- a mesh.

The nodes use the mesh to keep the Internet access flowing. If one node ever drops out, another node will instantly pick up the slack. NETse7en constantly monitors the network and our personnel are alerted immediately to respond in the event of a failure.
